Lainie and Andrew’s story started the modern way, with a swipe on the dating app Hinge. Andrew started off strong with a question about the show Friends, and it was all easy banter from there. Soon after, Andrew gave Lainie a bold first date invitation - coffee at 9 am on a Sunday. It quickly became clear there was something special between them. Over the last two years, they’ve made memories that will last a lifetime, from cozy nights in cooking new recipes to fun weekend adventures exploring new places. Andrew and Lainie have built a relationship full of laugher, support, and love.

How it Began

Andrew knew he wanted the proposal to be something meaningful and memorable. Knowing how much Lainie loves the colors of the fall trees, he planned the perfect proposal at Griggs Reservoir Park. To keep it a surprise, Andrew told Lainie they were going to grab drinks with friends. Andrew claims he was quite smooth about sharing these plans while Lainie claims the suspicions started rising. Although Lainie started to become extra suspicious when Andrew took a different route on their drive, the real surprise came when they arrived at a quiet boat dock overlooking the water, surrounded by beautiful fall trees. Andrew got down on one knee and asked Lainie to marry him with the sweetest words. Completely overwhelmed with joy, Lainie said yes.
